No SLS or SLES
All of our shampoos are formulated without SLS or SLES (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate), aggressive surfactants that may irritate the skin. Instead, we use a gentler cleansing agent derived from coconut: Sodium Coceth Sulfate. By choosing a more skin-friendly cleanser, we help support scalp health and maintain the scalp’s physiological balance over time.
No Petrolatum
Petrolatum (Paraffinum Liquidum – Petrolatum) consists of refined petroleum derivatives that can coat hair and skin with a film, preventing them from “breathing” and receiving adequate oxygen. We chose to replace it with naturally derived ingredients that offer similar performance while being more skin-compatible and kinder to overall well-being.
Skin and hair should be able to do the most natural thing: breathe.
No Silicones
Silicones are inorganic, silicon-derived polymers produced through chemical synthesis. While they can immediately soften hair and add shine by forming a film on the hair shaft, over time they may compromise the hair structure. They can also prevent active ingredients from penetrating the hair by sealing the cuticle layer. That’s why we exclude them from our formulas.
No Parabens
Parabens are preservatives that have sparked extensive debate. Whether they are harmful or harmless, necessary or unnecessary—science has yet to provide a definitive answer. While awaiting conclusive clarity, we have chosen to use a safer preservation system.
No Colorants or Allergens
We use only non-allergenic fragrance components to ensure our products are gentle enough even for very sensitive skin. No INSIGHT product contains synthetic colorants.
