No SLS or SLES
All of our shampoos are formulated without SLS or SLES (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate), which are aggressive cleansing agents that may irritate the skin. Instead, we use a gentler cleansing ingredient derived from coconut: Sodium Coceth Sulfate. By choosing a more skin-friendly cleanser, we help support wellbeing and maintain the scalp’s physiological balance over time.
No Petrolatum
Petrolatum (Paraffinum Liquidum / Petrolatum) is a refined petroleum derivative that can coat hair and skin with a film, limiting breathability and reducing oxygen exposure. We chose to replace it with naturally derived ingredients that offer similar performance while being more skin-friendly and better aligned with wellbeing.
Skin and hair should be able to do the most natural thing: breathe.
No Silicones
Silicones are inorganic, silicon-derived polymers created through chemical synthesis. While they can provide an instant softening and shine effect by coating the hair, they may compromise the hair structure over time. They can also prevent active ingredients from penetrating the hair, as they seal the cuticle surface. That’s why we do not include them in our formulas.
No Parabens
Parabens are preservatives that have sparked considerable debate. Whether they are harmful or harmless, necessary or unnecessary—science has yet to deliver a final consensus. While waiting for clearer answers that remove any doubt, we chose to use a safer preservation system.
No Colorants or Allergens
We use only non-allergenic fragrances to ensure our formulas are gentle—even on sensitive skin. No INSIGHT product contains synthetic colorants.
