How to prepare your skin for self-tanning
Start with exfoliation
First, prep your body for self-tan by exfoliating with a natural scrub—we recommend the Three Warriors Tasmanian Sand Scrub. Gently buff the entire body in circular motions to remove dead skin cells and dry patches.
Rinse and repeat
Be sure to shower and rinse away any scrub residue. Avoid using soap, and don’t forget to remove deodorant and perfume.
Apply
Using a tanning mitt or your bare hand, apply a small amount of self-tanning foam to the skin and spread evenly over the body. Because the foam is tinted brown, you’ll clearly see where you’ve applied it and where you may need more, making application easy and even. After showering, the initial intense bronze guide colour will rinse away (it’s designed to make application effortless), leaving behind a beautiful, natural-looking tan at your desired intensity—so there’s no need to worry about the initial dark shade.
Usage
Apply to clean skin. Using a tanning mitt or your bare hand, apply a small amount of self-tanning cream and distribute evenly over the body. Take extra care when applying to areas such as knees, elbows, hands, and feet, as these zones are typically drier. If these areas are very dry, it is recommended to moisturise them beforehand. Like a regular body lotion, there is no need to rinse. Suitable for both face and body, it spreads easily and leaves skin smooth, hydrated, and velvety-soft.
